Torrents of Water Flow Onto Hawaiian Highway

Parts of Hawaii’s Kamehameha Highway were submerged on March 9 after swathes of Oahu Island were hit by severe flooding.

This footage, shot by Ka’iolani Gunderson in Hauula, shows water gushing down a hillside and onto the road.

Flooding continued throughout the week, with Oahu’s Department of Emergency Management issuing a flood advisory for the Island’s east late on March 11 after more heavy rain. Credit: Ka’iolani Gunderson via Storyful
