STORY: Some people were seen riding on the back of aid trucks, and shortly thereafter a crowd ran after the convoy. A small scuffle also broke out once the convoy of trucks had moved on.

Israel has faced international pressure to let more aid into Gaza following an Israeli airstrike that killed the mostly international group of World Central Kitchen staff, and the U.S. has been pressuring Israel to increase the number of aid trucks allowed into Gaza, with 2.3 million people on the brink of famine.

White House spokesperson John Kirby said on Monday (April 8) that Washington wanted to see a sustained pace of 300 to 350 aid trucks entering Gaza every day, and better safeguarding of aid workers' safety.
