After locals in Maharashtra's Solapur were reported of pelting stones on policemen, Solapur SP appealed the locals for peace and said whatever they are doing is for public and not against any religion. "Police dispersed the crowd, after that some people felt bad and started pelting stones in which one of our inspector and official sustained injuries. We appeal to the people that whatever police is doing is for you, we are maintaining social distance for public this is not against any tradition or any religion," said Patil after some villagers pelted stones on policemen when cops tried to disperse crowed in religious procession.
