A black bear was spotted checking out the backyard deck of a home in Asheville, North Carolina, in April.

Resident David Oppenheimer who shot this video told Storyful that spotting bears around Asheville was not uncommon for the majority of the year, and he is well-accustomed to their unexpected visits.

In the video, the bear can be seen sniffing around before bracing itself against the railing and peering out into the yard.
