Anne Arundel County still counting thousands of mail-in ballots

An orchestra of democracy was underway Tuesday in Anne Arundel County with 50 bipartisan canvassing teams working to open and count mail-in ballots for scanning. The process takes time, and as of Tuesday morning, only about 17,000, or 30%, of mail-in ballots had been counted. The Anne Arundel County Board of Elections has until Friday to count all of the 59,000 mail-in ballots received. Anne Arundel County Elections Director David Garreis said he hopes to get 20,000 mail-in ballots counted and scanned by Tuesday night.
