NZ set to ease restrictions, finalize vaccine deal

New Zealand detected 21 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19, all in Auckland, up from 20 a day earlier.

Authorities on Monday (September 6) said schools, offices and businesses can reopen outside Auckland from Wednesday (September 8) but masks will remain mandatory in most public venues.

Face masks will still be required inside most public venues, including shops and malls. Indoor hospitality venues will be limited to 50 patrons and outdoor venues to 100 people.
