Rescued bear cubs frolic in Ukrainian sanctuary

Video footage from Four Paws shows cubs Jenny, Toby, Moris and Andor running around, play-fighting and climbing a wooden structure.

Andor, who was hand-raised by owners of a defunct hotel, was saved by Four Paws in June 2021 and joined by the three other cubs in July.

All four bear cubs were born in January 2021.

The bear sanctuary in Domazhyr says it looks after 28 rescued bears on their 15-hectare site.

Many bears suffer in cruel conditions in Ukraine, Four Paws said in a statement online, as private keeping remains legal in the country.
