Native Hawaiians honor traditions at volcano

The Mauna Loa volcano's eruption has deep cultural significance for many native Hawaiians. Some Hawaiians may be moved to chant to Pele, the deity of volcanoes and fire. Others pray to ancestors or honor the moment with hula, or dance. (Dec. 2)
