Residents of an apartment complex threatened by a fire that left dozens of people homeless in Cedar Park, Texas, warned others about the approaching threat and helped rescue dogs, according to a woman whose camera caught the kind actions.

Ring camera footage from local resident Amanda Huber shows two people in a building on Parmer Lane on August 8. A woman is seen carrying a dog while the man with her yells “fire” and warns a resident about “fires all around.”

Huber said the two people helped rescue her dogs, with which she has since been reunited.

“Thank you both so much for caring about others and helping save my dogs,” Huber wrote in a post alongside the video.

“Thanks to the quick actions of my neighbors whom I was lucky enough to personally thank this morning when first entering back in,” she wrote on Twitter. “The boys are home, happy, and doing great.”

According to the Austin American-Statesman, some locals were not so lucky. One apartment building on Parmer Lane was totally destroyed, the paper said; two more were damaged. Credit: Amanda Huber via Storyful
