Chicago police shot and killed a person they say was attacking another person with a knife late Monday night in the Austin neighborhood on the city's West Side. Police say the victim of the knife attack was also shot in the encounter. According to police, officers assigned to the Area Four Priority Response Team were on routine patrol in the 300 block of South Cicero Avenue just before 11:15 p.m. Monday when they observed a male trying to stab another male in the street.
