Clear the Shelters - Meet June Bug, an Adorable Cat Ready for His New Home

Heidi Wetherbee of Companion Animal Alliance brought in an adorable, four-month-old cat named June Bug. June Bug used to be a feral cat living on the streets. He was one of the cats involved in CAA's Trap, Neuter and Release program. The purpose of this program is to spay/neuter stray cats and return them to wherever they made their home. June Bug, however, is different. Wetherbee says he's so snuggly and loves engaging with all the staff members at CAA so they decided to keep him. The way he was acting during the TNR program led her to believe he should be adopted instead of being returned to the streets. She says he has great manners, loves his treats and just feels like he belongs with a family in a nice home instead of living a feral cat life. He'll be the "purr-fect" gentleman for any family. Since he's still a kitten, his adoption fee is $50. If he isn't adopted before the week ends, you can meet June Bug at CAA's "Caturday" adoption event. That will be held this Saturday at the PetSmart on Millerville Rd. from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. They're also having a dog adoption event on Friday at Mid City Beer Garden from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Companion Animal Alliance has many animals available for adoption. They're all listed on their website www.caabr.org. Visitors can stop by CAA to meet the adoptable pets on Tuesdays - Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. More information about how to adopt June Bug, foster an animal, volunteer or make a donation is on their website.
