Hail hit Herman in Minnesota’s west on June 28 as scattered storms swept the North Star State.

This footage, shot by Carol Bauer from the safety of her car, shows large hailstones pelting the ground.

Bauer told Storyful the hail was “golf ball size.”

“It did put dents in our pickup and [the] corn crop was damaged,” she said.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said scattered storms would continue in eastern Minnesota into Tuesday, with hot and dry conditions expected for the first week of July. Credit: Carol Bauer via Storyful
