The four former police officers charged in connection to the May 25 killing of George Floyd appeared in Minneapolis court for a motion hearing on Friday morning, September 11.

Local news reported the hearing on September 11 focuses on trial details, such as whether to try the officers together or separately, and if the trial should be moved to a different location.

Protesters calling for justice gathered outside the Hennepin County Family Justice Center in downtown Minneapolis on Friday.

This footage shows Derek Chauvin, who was charged with murder and manslaughter, and was the only one of the four former officers to remain in custody, exiting the courthouse to be escorted back to state prison at Oak Park Heights.
