Dow closes above 44,000 as Russell 2000 pops, bitcoin hits record

The Russell 2000 (^RUT) led the charge for stocks on Monday, outperforming all the other indexes and ending the day 1.56% higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) moved 0.69% higher and closed above 44,000.
