Dow, stocks stage comeback and close Monday higher

September is looking brighter for stocks after the three US market averages (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) closed Monday's session higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1.20% while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both rose by 1.16% as they attempt to shake off September's volatility.
