Fresh strikes by train drivers to cause more disruption for rail passengers

Rail services on some of the busiest commuter routes in the country were at a standstill on Tuesday because of a fresh strike by drivers in a near two-year long pay dispute. Members of Aslef at English operators including those running services into London such as Southern, Southeastern and South Western Railway will walk out for the day. Strikes will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at different operators, while drivers are also banning overtime until Saturday which is also causing disruption.
