Crews from the Sea World Foundation rescue team in Queensland, Australia, freed a humpback whale that was entangled in rope off Burleigh Heads, footage released on August 1 shows.

In a statement, the Sea World Foundation said they received a call on July 29 from a local tour operator about the entangled mammal at Coolangatta.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found the whale heavily entangled in rope and covered in sea lice with significant skin lesions.
