78-Year-Old Man in England Delights Daughter by Handing Her Mail With Long Tube Device

A 78-year-old Englishman delighted his daughter on May 14 with his admirable dedication to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions – emerging from a garden shed to hand her a piece of mail at the end of an awkwardly long tube while decked out like a frogman.

The Portsmouth resident was seeking his daughter’s help opening an unexpected package, his daughter Debbie Matthews told Storyful.

Matthews, who recorded this footage of her father, told Storyful her parents have obeyed lockdown since day one, and her father is always thinking of ways to make her and her family laugh.

“On this particular day, they had received an unexpected package, so I offered to go round and open it for them,” she said. “I work for the NHS, so I haven’t been furloughed or anything. But I’ve been shopping, etc., for them.”
