Auckland Woman Takes on 'Insanely Hot' Noodle Challenge

A competitive eater based in Auckland, New Zealand, told her followers that her lips were left “tingling with an insanely burnt feeling” after she documented her attempt at a spicy noodle challenge on YouTube.

Nela Zisser can often be found making her way through outrageous food challenges, however, even for her, the task of devouring a plate of “spicy volcano” chicken curry noodles in under two minutes proved incredibly tough.

Zisser admitted to viewers afterward that she badly needed a glass of milk to wash down the food, having rounded out the challenge in one minute and 55 seconds.

Zisser’s YouTube account also chronicles such food feats as wolfing down 10 Burger King Whoppers in 17 minutes, devouring a 1-kg burrito in just under 100 seconds, and consuming a 2.2-pound jar of Nutella in under four minutes. Credit: Nela Zisser via Storyful
