Austria hit by heavy snow and flooding

Heavy snowfall and flooding hit Austria over the weekend,

Leading authorities to declare a state of emergency in parts of the country.

Local media report that 30 homes in Stadl an der Mur in central Austria were evacuated due to landslides.

And one official was quoted as saying several rivers were overflowing.

The snowfall has hit transportation as well.

Fallen trees were seen covering train lines.

Some roads were closed but at least one that stayed open was still covered in rocks from a mudslide.

This train from Munich to Venice was also forced to stop.
