Austrian village hit by mudslide begins clean-up

STORY: In the local church, volunteers including a young girl were busy sweeping mud out of the house of worship, past a sign standing in the dirt reading “a warm welcome to the first communion.”

Several buildings were devastated and some roads in the area remain submerged in mud and covered with debris while clean-up work continued on Thursday.
