Damage 'Consistent With a Tornado' Reported in Tompkinsville, Kentucky

Severe thunderstorms tore through Tompkinsville, Kentucky, on Monday, May 3, leaving behind damage “consistent with a tornado,” the National Weather Service said.

The service said a survey crew was headed to Monroe County after damage reports in Tompkinsville.

A severe thunderstorm warning for Tompkinsville and a tornado warning for nearby areas were issued on Monday morning.
