At least 21 people were killed when an apartment building and recreation center in Serhiivka, an seaside village in Odesa, were destroyed by airstrikes on Friday, July 1, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Zelensky, four people from one family were killed in the attack. About 40 people were wounded, he said.
A rescue operation is ongoing, as there may be people trapped under the rubble, said Kirill Timoshenko, Deputy Head to the President’s Office.
