"And now the moment of truth. It was stolen three-and-a-half years ago and I've been looking for it ever since. Hopefully, this is the one."

A stolen Vincent van Gogh painting has

been retrieved by a Dutch art detective

It was packed in nothing more than an

Ikea bag, bubble wrap and a pillow case

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

(Arthur Brand, Art detective)

"Vincent van Gogh, 'Spring Garden', painted in 1884, stolen three-and-a-half years ago on Van Gogh's birthday. It's one of the early works by Van Gogh and it's back. It took 1,300 days, but here it is and I will hand it over in a few moments to the museum director and I think he will be happy."

The painting was stolen from the Museum

Singer Laren during the health crisis

An unknown man delivered it to

detective Brand’s home

The theft remains a mystery
