Flash flooding struck southwest Germany on June 23, after heavy rain and hail struck the region.

This video, taken by Nathalie Neuherz, shows a torrent of water flowing down a residential street in Bempflingen, a town near Stuttgart, during the widespread downpour. Similar torrents were seen in nearby Tubingen, while large hail was observed in Bavaria.

Appointments for a COVID-19 vaccination center in nearby Tubingen were reportedly cancelled after torrential rain flooded the building on the same date. Five people were injured in nearby Reutlingen by “hail the size of tennis balls”, according to The Washington Post. Credit: Nathalie Neuherz via Storyful
