STORY: A powerful water current was seen flowing down and reaching a main road in the Catalan town of Sant Pere de Ribas, forcing cars to drive back as water kept flowing down.

At least 20 provinces across Spain were put under rain alert on Thursday (June 1), with central Castille and Leon region being the most threatened during the day, the Spanish meteorology agency AEMET said.
