Footage shows blaze after shelling given as Ukraine’s Mykolaiv

STORY: Emergency services said the shelling hit two areas in the city on the main highway between Kherson and Odesa.

In one area, 51 rescuers and 13 firefighters were involved in putting out the fires, while in a separate part of the city, 14 firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, according to the emergency services.

The drone footage shows large plumes of smoke rising above what appears to be a residential area.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the date and location of the footage.

The city's mayor, Oleksandr Senkevych, said on Tuesday rockets hit Mykolaiv. Reuters could not independently verify the reports.
