Gabbard calls Clinton 'personification of rot'

An ugly war of words between 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Tulsi Gabbard and the party's torch bearer in 2016 - Hillary Clinton.

Gabbard, one of 19 Democrats vying for the nomination lashed out at Clinton on Twitter, accusing the 2016 Democratic nominee of trying to destroy her reputation - and described Clinton as the "embodiment of corruption."

And she didn't stop there. Gabbard called Clinton "the queen of warmongers," and the "personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long."

Clinton seemed to have hit a nerve with the Hawaiian Representative who is a favorite of Russian state media as well as many liberals.

Earlier in the week in a podcast, Clinton who did not mention Gabbard by name, said Russia was cultivating someone in the Democratic party to disrupt the 2020 election as a third-party candidate.

Following the podcast, a Clinton spokesman confirmed Clinton indeed was referring to Gabbard.

Gabbard says she will not run as a third-party candidate.

Her campaign has barely moved the needle since she jumped into the race.

Gabbard has yet to poll outside of the single digits.
