Giant parade creatures delight Mexican families

STORY: For the event, artisans showed off their giant alebrijes - traditional Mexican sculptures of fantastic animals - and circus artists showed of their skills on stilts, with gymnastics and music.

The parade is one of several activities directed at children and youths during the summer holidays.

51-year-old mechanic Juan Manuel Alvez took his grandchildren to see the alebrijes as an excuse for them to leave the house and enjoy themselves after having to stay at home during the pandemic.
