Hundreds of 'Tree Emergencies' Reported in Wake of Hurricane Zeta

Damage in New Orleans was assessed on Thursday, October 29, the morning after Hurricane Zeta battered Louisiana as a Category 2 storm.

The City of New Orleans said there were 800 “tree emergencies” reported. This footage was shared by @nolaready, a Twitter account managed by the city’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness. It shows parks crews responding to various downed trees within the city.

The National Hurricane Center warned of a life-threatening storm surge, powerful winds, and heavy rain as Zeta moved through southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi on Wednesday.
