Lava continued to flow from La Palma’s Cumbre Vieja volcano on Monday, November 22, over two months after initial eruptions began.

This footage was released by the Canary Islands Volcanology Institute on Monday. La Palma airport was closed that morning, the flag carrier Binter Canarias said.

By November 20, lava flows have covered more than 1,065 hectares and destroyed 2,651 buildings, the European Union’s Copernicus satellite program said.
