Fork lightning was witnessed in the Denver area as the Nation Weather Service warned of thunderstorms on July 30.

“Conditions are favorable for thunderstorms with heavy rain to develop from Fort Collins down through the Denver metro area through 6 pm,” the NWS tweeted.

There was also a severe thunderstorm warning for areas north of Denver in Colorado, including Wellington, Severance, and Timnath, the weather service said. Credit: @theballpark22 via Storyful
