'Mesmerizing Lightning Display' Flickers in Florida Night Sky

Lightning strobed through the night sky in Brandon, Florida, on Monday, August 1, as the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasted storms in the area.

This footage uploaded to Twitter by user Ryan Slattery shows the thunderstorm. “A mesmerizing lightning display,” Slattery wrote in a caption accompanying the video.
