Met: ‘London's streets are safe for women’

Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry has insisted that “London's streets are safe for women" following the murder of 28-year-old Sabina Nessa. Asked how women could feel safe following her murder in the south east of the capital, months after the killing of Sarah Everard, he said: "The streets are safe for women, I'd like to reassure the public around that.".
