Staff and clients at investment banking giant Morgan Stanley won't be allowed to enter the company's New York offices unless they're fully vaccinated.

That's according to Reuters sources.

Employees, clients, and visitors will be required to prove that they have been fully vaccinated in order to access the bank's offices in New York and Westchester.

The source added that those who are not fully vaccinated will need to continue to work remotely.

The new policy will come into effect on July 12, and will also see the removal of some restrictions on masks and maintaining social distancing inside the office.

Morgan Stanley had already implemented "vaccine-only" workspaces in some divisions including institutional securities and wealth management, according to the Financial Times, which first reported the news.

CEO James Gorman said last Monday (June 14) that if most employees are not back to work at the bank's Manhattan headquarters in September, he will be "very disappointed."
