Ocean activists project messages onto iconic Lisbon tower

STORY: "Less committees, more change" and "Tell the truth" were some of the messages beamed onto the Belem Tower on the second day of the U.N. Ocean Conference in Lisbon, which has brought together around 7,000 people from over 100 countries.

The activists also said the goal to protect 30% of the oceans by 2030, the minimum scientists agree is needed to allow them to recover, was "too late" and that leaders such as U.N. Special Envoy for the Ocean, Peter Thomson, had "failed us".
