Ohio Farmer Blames Goat's Chaotic Antics on 'Lunar Eclipse'

Hilarious footage shows goats in Oberlin, Ohio, acting out-of-character on May 16, which their owner believes to have been the result of the recent lunar eclipse.

Farmer Tammy Tunison told Storyful that goats Alex and Junior usually eat their hay from their own containers, adding “they don’t normally harass each other over hay.”

However, Tunison said something changed on the morning of May 16, when Junior “wanted all the hay”. He’s captured on camera incessantly following Alex around, with Tunison adding that Junior would not let Alex, behaving unusually submissively, eat by himself.

The farm antics escalated when Tunison’s two dogs joined in on the fun. Junior chased Bes — a basset hound puppy — into the barn and hopped onto his back legs, appearing ready for a head butt.

“Junior never had contact, he would never hurt her,” said Tunison, referring to Bes.

Tunison blamed the change in the goats’ personalities on the “super flower blood moon”, which occurred between May 15 and 16.

Tunison regularly films humorous videos of her goats and other pets, posting them to her Hobby Farm Facebook account. Credit: Tammy Tunison via Storyful
