Paddling Santas bring Christmas cheer to Dublin

The group dressed in red and white Santa outfits, donned reindeer costumes and decorated their paddle boards with lights and inflatable figures. They waved to people watching from dry land and rang a bell.

One said the aim was to bring joy, smiles and laughter to visitors in Dublin's city centre. "That's all we're doing, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around," he said, dressed in a full Santa costume including beard and glasses.

Another said it was a festive way to meet fellow paddle boarders. "We haven't seen each other in a little while and then just bring a bit of Christmas cheer to Dublin," she said, sporting a reindeer outfit and a garland of lights.

The group ended in front of the illuminated Custom House Quay in Dublin's city centre.
