Rescue Efforts Continue as Flash Floods Sweep Eastern Kentucky

Flash flooding hit parts of eastern Kentucky on February 28 amid heavy rainfall.

The National Weather Service issued multiple flash flooding warnings on Sunday, urging residents to avoid walking or driving through floodwater.

The threat of continued flooding was expected to persist into the early hours of Monday, March 1, for central and eastern parts of the state.
