Residents went above and beyond for a haunted house competition in Brentwood, California, decking out their homes in spooky decor, despite a nationwide supply shortage of Halloween apparel.

The winner of the competition, hosted by the city of Brentwood, will be determined by votes cast by the public for their “favorite Halloween house.”
