Ski-lovers flock to the slopes after snowfall in Turkey

Hundreds of ski-lovers checked-in at hotels to enjoy skiing and snowboarding as guests are exempt from the ban under the decree released by Turkish authorities.

With schools on mid-term break, the premises in the area were almost full to capacity, hotel managers told Reuters. Although majority of the guests were local tourists, some took a long trip to reach to Turkey's largest winter sports centre.

"It feels like a nice relief. Turkey is still providing a lot of precautions as you can see I have a mask and if you look around everybody has mask and of course during skiing you are going to have additional coverage but it is an outdoor event," an American tourist from North Carolina, Crystal Hilda said.
