Snowstorm Whips Flag in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains

Snow fell in Banner Elk, North Carolina, on November 30, as four to eight inches of snowfall was recorded in areas along the border of North Carolina and Tennessee, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS said up to a foot of snow was reported in the Great Smoky Mountains.
