Supporters of Kenyan President-Elect William Ruto celebrated the election results in Vihiga County on August 15, as protests erupted elsewhere in the country following his win over opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Footage shows crowds of people taking to the streets in support of Ruto following the announcement of his win with 50.49 percent of the vote to Odinga’s 48.85 percent.

The election result was disputed by more than half of Kenya’s seven-member electoral commission, according to Nairobi-based newspaper The Star.
