“Thousands” of people gathered outside Los Angeles City Hall on Monday, November 8, to protest a mandate requiring city workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 18, local media reported.

The protest was organized by a group named Firefighters 4 Freedom that said firefighters, police officers, electrical workers, sanitation workers, and city government employees would be in attendance, KTLA reported.

Mayor Eric Garcetti signed an ordinance on November 6 requiring eligible individuals to be vaccinated in order to enter public indoor spaces including, restaurants, bars, gyms, and city facilities.
