Truss: Inflation is creating a difficult global situation

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss says the world is facing a "very difficult situation" because of the "appalling global headwinds" caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Covid. She warns a windfall tax is "likely to deter investment" and stresses the Chancellor Rishi Sunak is looking "very hard" at what can be done but warns that the government can't "completely cushion" people from the effects of inflation.
