Two Killed in Marietta Plane Crash, Ohio Police Say

Two people were killed when a small commuter plane crashed into a parking lot at a car dealership in Marietta, Ohio, on Tuesday morning, October 18, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

The OSHP said the aircraft — a 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90 with two occupants, a pilot and a passenger — crashed at 7:15 am. The two victims were identified as Eric Seevers, 45, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Timothy Gifford, 49, of Orient, Ohio.

No one on the ground was injured but damage “to multiple vehicles and buildings at the dealership” was reported, the OSHP added.
