Interestingly, Ackerley points out that retirement outlook varies significantly across generations in the workforce. Gen Z appears to be the most confident, whereas Gen X expresses less optimism about their retirement readiness.

Addressing market volatility and its impact on retirement investments, Ackerley advocates for a patient approach. "Don't try to time the market, just be in the market and stick the course," she tells Yahoo Finance.
