Congress has just a day and a half to agree on a federal spending budget in order to avoid a government shutdown by October 1. Brendan Pedersen, Author of Punchbowl News' "The Vault" newsletter, sits down with Yahoo Finance's Rachelle Akuffo from Capitol Hill to discuss the new difficulties arising between party leadership that sets this shutdown scare apart from prior years'.

"It seems all but assured at this point that we're going to have a government shutdown," Pedersen says. "The question is how quickly Congress will come together to eventually have a package that funds the government even for a short amount of time."
