Fire Tears Through Huts and Vegetation at Bournemouth Beach

A fire broke out in a beach hut in Bournemouth, England, on July 20, spreading to at least three huts and burning through vegetation on a hill, authorities said.

The blaze broke out as hundreds of people were on the beach nearby.

Dorset Police placed a cordon around the area as firefighters responded.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire said there was “significant smoke across the promenade and West Hill Road.”
