STORY: Herve Renard said the team has been together for around 20 days to prepare for the competition in Australia and New Zealand, which kicks off on July 20.

Renard was appointed coach of the squad in March after France sacked Corinne Diacre as a number of players, including captain Wendie Renard, have said they would no longer represent the national side as long as Diacre was in charge.

But Renard said that as the team heads into a packed week of training sessions - two on Tuesday and another two on Thursday and Friday - the team are ready to "go up in volume and step it up."
